Cannabidiol, commonly abbreviated as CBD, refers to one of the predominant chemicals in the trichomes (resin glands) of cannabis plants that are female. Cannabidiol belongs to a group of compounds called cannabinoids. The marijuana plant is known to have over 85 cannabinoids. Cannabidiol and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are the cannabinoid compounds that appear in the highest concentrations, however.
While THC is psychoactive, CBD, on the other hand, is not. The pathways upon which it acts are different from the ones for THC, that is, CB1 receptors. These receptors for the THC are common in the brain, thus altering its normal functions. CBD does not, therefore, result in a high or cause one to get stoned. Because it lacks such side effects and does not retard various psychological and psychomotor functions, CBD is a suitable candidate for medicinal use.
According to clinical experiments conducted on lab animals over decades of research, several medical benefits have since been attributed to this compound CBD. CBD is antiemetic and is thus able to lower vomiting and nausea in patients. It equally has anticonvulsant properties which enable it to suppress seizures. It is also able to fight psychotic disorders and inflammatory disorders due to the antipsychotic and anti-inflammatory properties, respectively.
Furthermore, CBD has anti-cancer properties that can aid in the war against cancer. It is also an antioxidant that can be effectively used to combat neurodegenerative disorders. Aside from these, CDB is also commonly applied to cases of depression and anxiety disorders. These properties are yet to be confirmed on humans, however, since this evidence has been seen in tests concerning lab animals. Nonetheless, current clinical trials (such as UK’s GW Pharmaceuticals and researchers from California Pacific Medical Center) are underway to verify the potential relevance of CBD in the management of these and other medical conditions.
There are a plethora of other different sources of CBD apart from the cannabis plant. One such source is the Nano Enhanced Hemp Oil manufactured by Prime My Body from hemp extracts. PrimeMyBody utilizes a unique liposomal delivery system, which dramatically improves the bioavailability of the oil. The advanced technology behind this ground-breaking methodology, along with the pump top on the bottle, enables precise dosing with immediate effect, with maximum absorption.
Liposomal delivery brings the power of intravenous therapy into convenient oral delivery. Typical absorbtion of Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is poor, with only about 10% uptake in the GI tract. Liposomal encapsulation of compounds similar to CBD have been shown to increase absorbtion five-to ten-fold. Our pharmaceutical-grade LIPOSOMAL CBD outperforms other products thanks to smaller, more stable, single-layer spheres made from the highest-grade ingredients available.
The hemp used in NanoEnhanced Hemp Oil is sourced from certified European hemp strains and grown to strict organic standards. This is good thing as recent testing has shown that over 84% of medicinal marijuana products grown in California contain dangerous pesticides. These plants contain all of the synergistic cannabinoids, terpenoids and other natural compounds of the original plant. Our CBD Hemp Oil is non-psychoactive and safe for daily consumption.
Nano Enhanced Hemp Oil is legal in all fifty states and its potential in the world of medicine is enormous. In addition to the benefits stated above, CBD has been shown to lower the negative effects of THC such as intoxication, paranoia, sleep induction, and memory impairment. Other conditions that are thought to be treatable by CBD include acne, diabetes, fibromyalgia, mad cow disease (prion), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, Crohn’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.
What are the suggested doses for Depression, ADHD, Seizures? Can’t find it anywhere.
That’s a good question.
I found this:
General Advice to Assess How Much CBD to Take
Even with the wave of states legalizing medical marijuana, many physicians are still reluctant to prescribe cannabinoids because they are not sure what dosages to prescribe. After all, most medical schools never cover CBD Cannabidiol in their pharmacology courses. Medical scientists are just now developing dosing schedules for medical marijuana, medicinal hemp and their extracts, including CBD.
CBD-rich hemp oil comes in various concentrations and forms, including liquid hemp oil, hemp oil as a thick paste, oil in capsules, sublingual tincture drops or sprays, salves for topical use, edibles as in candy or gum and CBD vapor from vaporizers similar to e-cigarettes.
Everyone Is Different
What you will find on this page is meant to be a guideline, a starting point of reference. The fact remains that everyone is in a different place and will react differently to their CBD dosage. As serving size or dosage of CBD differs for each person, it is best to start small and gradually increase until you experience the desired result.
CBD Brands Confusing Dosage
CBD oil brands create a lot of confusion for consumers because they all have different standards. Many of them recommend way too much as a “serving” and others recommend too little. Because of this lack of standard during our review of individual CBD products, we recommend a Serving Standard of 25mg-30mg of CBD taken twice a day.
It is also recommended that you try increasing dosage every 3-4 weeks by 25mg until symptom relief. And to decrease amount of CBD with any worsening of symptoms.
CBD Oil Dosing
Concentrations vary between preparations, ranging from 1 mg per dose to hundreds of milligrams. This makes it easy for consumers to get the dosages they need in a form they find easy to use.
CBD Dosages
Mayo Clinic suggests CBD dosages on scientific research, publications, traditional use, or expert opinion. Cannabinoid dosages and duration of treatment depend largely on the disease.
How Much CBD Oil Should I Take?
To increase appetite in cancer patients: 2.5 milligrams of THC by mouth with or without 1 mg of CBD for six weeks
To treat chronic pain: 2.5-20 mg CBD by mouth for an average of 25 days
To treat epilepsy: 200-300 mg of CBD by mouth daily for up to 4.5 months
To treat movement problems associated with Huntington’s disease: 10 mg per kilogram of CBD by mouth daily for six weeks
To treat sleep disorders: 40-160 mg CBD by mouth.
To treat multiple sclerosis symptoms: Cannabis plant extracts containing 2.5-120 milligrams of a THC-CBD combination by mouth daily for 2-15 weeks. A mouth spray might contain 2.7 milligrams of THC and 2.5 milligrams of CBD at doses of 2.5-120 milligram for up to eight weeks. Patients typically use eight sprays within any three hours, with a maximum of 48 sprays in any 24-hour period.
To treat schizophrenia: 40-1,280 mg CBD by mouth daily for up to four weeks
To treat glaucoma: a single CBD dose of 20-40 mg under the tongue. Doses greater than 40 mg may actually increase eye pressure.
How many mg of CBD’s are in each 50 ml bottle of Prime My body?
Is there any reason to take this if you have no health issues?
Absolutely, CBD Hemp oil (make sure that it is from a reputable source. My partner and I
If you have no health issues – then just keep doing what you’re doing!
Obviously you can utilize supplements for preventative reasons. Personally, I utilize CBD Oil primarily for its anti-inflammatory properties.
I am sorry, that last message was submitted prematurely.
Absolutely, CBD Hemp oil is a beautiful preventative resource for the body. It brings the body back to homeostasis (balance) with regular use. That can be very helpful in natural preventative body maintenance. Make sure that it is from a reputable source. My partner and I are sharing a CBD Oil with others that we trust. We have been researching and independently testing various CBD’s. We have found that there are some on the market that have basically “no” CBD potential, although they might even show a lab test that says otherwise. We had heard that was a challenge in the field of CBD’s so I am very happy that we decided to spend the extra money to research, independently test through an independent lab and our own body trials.
I would be happy to share our source if you’d like to call.

Does it work for Insomnia, I’ve been dealing with sleep issues for 25 years & now Im withdrawing from a 20 year addiction to Benzodiazepines as a result. Im hoping this pure form of CBD can help. I don’t tolerate THC very well, it gives me Anxiety & keeps me awake.
In the United States, approximately 70 million people suffer from insomnia, insufficient sleep or another sleep disorder. CBD has been mistakenly described as sedating. In modest doses, CBD is mildly alerting. Cannabidiol activates the same adenosine receptors as caffeine, a stimulant. But several patients with sleep issues report that ingesting a CBD-rich tincture or extract a few hours before bedtime has a balancing effect that facilitates a good night’s sleep.
Have you tried GABA? I find it really helps me sleep deeply. Acupuncture also helps me if it is stress related.
Hello,
Thank you for this awesome post. I have a question have you independently tested the CBD bottle from Prime My Body? If so would you share what learned please? I would very much appreciate it. As I’m looking for the best cbd oil out there and this one seems to be promising.
Blessings,
Ale
Hi Ale,
Yes – I use the Prime My Body CBD – I chose that particular one because of the quality of the sourcing and extraction of the oil as well as the nano-enhanced delivery system. I’m sure there are other high-quality oils on the market, but that world is still a little too murky for me to try a lesser product.
Eric
Eric,
Have you independently tested it?
Don’t believe everything they say. I have had some tested and some have basically no CBD’s and their tests stated otherwise.
Julia
No Ale, I have attempted to get a bottle from 2 different reps here in town so I could independently test it. Something tells me they don’t want me to because I still have yet to receive one. I just keep hearing stories about what a nightmare the company is to work with and how difficult it is to get product and their payment processing has never gotten resolved. I have lost my faith and interest in Prime My Body. I have also found a hemp CBD oil that tested beautifully and their customer service is wonderful. Let me know if you have an interest?
Blessings,
Julia
Hi Julia,
Yes I agree it took them a month to deliver my package. I finally got to try the product I’ve had mixed reviews some people love it and others don’t. So I’m still doing my own research but would definitely love to get it tested. Where do you live? I have an extra bottle if you’re still interested in getting it tested. Let me know.
Ale,
I sent you a reply from my personal email address @gmail. Let me know if you got it?
Julia
I live in Sedona, Az.
I have still been curious about getting it tested.
I have an independent lab in Phoenix I use.
They are very thorough and just added an additional CBD test as of lately.
Julia
I would be very curious to hear the test results. I have not independently tested it.
If someone wants to supply me with a sample of PMB I would be happy to get it tested.
Julia
I would also be very interested in getting it tested. I do have a friend whose getting it tested at the moment at UCLA but not sure when we’ll get the results. have you still not received a bottle? I can send you a sample if you wish to test.
Ale
Hi Ale, No I still have not received a bottle.

I got it, sounds good Julia. 🙂
Do you give out samples? That’s quite a bit of money just to try something. Thank you.
Hi, it’s not my company… I just like the product.
Animal testing?
Too bad many animals don’t have the same metabolism as human animals.
So it really does not transfer to the human condition.
julia, i would like to know what cbd oil and company you like? thanks, aaxe
I have central nervous system Lyme…any stories of someone using this and seeing benefits?
David – Very sorry to hear that. I had Lyme a few years ago and I highly recommend the book by Stephen Buhner titled Healing Lyme. http://astore.amazon.com/healinglyme-20/detail/0970869649 and his website: http://buhnerhealinglyme.com. His protocols really helped me. I’ve talked to some friends who are utilizing CBD for Lyme’s and it say it is very helpful for the inflammation aspects of the disease.
Thank you for your advice…I will certainly get Stephen’s book…12 years of suffering is enough
12 years is brutal. I also recommend Artemisinin – it is used on Malaria and other infections. It was very helpful in my Lyme Protocol. And if you are not allergic to Bee’s, I found Bee Venom to be very effective, I utilized it orally from a company called ApiHealth out of New Zealand. Easily found on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Manuka-VENZ-Honey-Venom-500g/dp/B0025V3WM0/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1497557446&sr=8-1&keywords=ApiHealth+NZ+Ltd
It seems every time I take artemisinin, I get a fever…?
Do you have Lyme’s? When you are using something that effectively kills the Lyme disease you get what is known as a Herxheimer reaction. Essentially when the Lyme spirochetes die they release a toxin into your body. This is why a full protocol is necessary. You need to be simultaneously killing the lyme, blocking it from communicating with itself as it can adapt very quickly, supporting your immune system overall, and flushing your system. Again, I recommend Stephen Buhner and his book and website on Healing Lyme. http://astore.amazon.com/healinglyme-20/detail/0970869649 and his website: http://buhnerhealinglyme.com. His protocols really helped me.
